Description

The capped column under a 4" clamp with caps is designed for distilling mash on a moonshine still. It allows you to obtain clean and aromatic distillates from fruit, grape, grain and sugar drinks .

The column is made of 1 mm thick copper, which ensures uniform heating and high distillation efficiency. KProCap caps have a center drain hole for reflux, which makes them universal. There is no need to install a drain cap. One dish operates on a very wide range from 2500 to 8000 W.

Application

The Babylon plate column under a 4" clamp with ProCap caps is designed for distilling mash on a moonshine still. It allows you to obtain clean and aromatic distillates from fruit, grape, grain and sugar drinks .

Recommendations for use

Before use, the column must be washed with hot water and soda. Then you can start distilling the mash.

To distill mash, you need to fill the cube with mash and install a column on the cube. After this, you can start heating.

As the mash heats up, steam will begin to form in the column. The steam will rise up the column and condense on the trays. The condensation that forms on the plates is called phlegm.

The reflux will flow down the column and mix with the steam. This will help separate the alcohol and water vapors.

Pure alcohol will rise up the column and exit the reflux condenser.

To select the distillate, you must install a tap on the selection spout. Then the selection can begin.

Additional column levels can be used to obtain a purer distillate. Additional levels increase the contact area between steam and reflux, which leads to more efficient rectification.
