Sambuca Liqueur infusion kit 1liter

Sambuca is a traditional Italian liqueur: sweet but not cloying, it combines refreshing tones of lemon and anise. The drink is moderately viscous, has a delicate aroma and a long aftertaste.

You will need:

- 900 ml (30 fl.oz) of 40% (80-proof) alcohol, vodka or Neutral Grain Spirit
- This kit
- 150 g (5 oz) of sugar
- 100 ml (3 fl.oz) of water

Preparation: 

Pour water into a saucepan, add spices from the kit, bring to a boil and add sugar. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves, then simmer over low heat for another 15 minutes.

Now alcohol is poured directly into the hot mixture. Everything is closed with a lid and infused for about an hour, the saucepan can be additionally wrapped with a towel.

Strain the completely cooled liquid through cheesecloth, pour into mason jar. You can taste it now, but it's better to let it mature for a week or two.
