Plastic container for fermentation Speidel 20 l
This plastic container is specially designed for the fermentation of various media:
· beer wort;
· wine;
· wort for subsequent distillation by distillation or rectification.
The material from which the barrel is made is resistant to aggressive media, including alcohol, is absolutely neutral and does not release anything into the fermented medium during storage. Laboratory tests have shown that plastic under standard fermentation conditions is in no way inferior to stainless steel or glass.
All gaskets used are made of food-grade silicone, which is neutral to alcohol and many other aggressive liquids. The tank has a convenient filler neck and a threaded hatch with a wide thread pitch. The hatch also provides a threaded fitting where you can install a plug or water seal.
A threaded fitting is also provided at the bottom of the tank where it is screwed in: either a plug (supplied) or a convenient tap. The installation height of the tap is calculated so that it is above the level of the yeast sediment, which is very convenient when overflowing the fermented wort. The yeast sediment remains at the bottom of the container, and the clarified wort is poured without mixing with the yeast.
